MHCI Colors of the Year for 2016 are Turquoise, Silver, and Sky Blue. Read below to see how these Colors are channeled and interpreted, and their significance for the year ahead.
~ Turquoise: Year of the Shaman ~
Controversy and Mystery surround the topic of Shamanism, some arguing that only Indigenous Cultures in the Eastern Hemisphere have a right to claim the Origins and Existence of Shamans. Others argue Shamans have been present in every Culture on every Continent since the beginning of recorded time, and no one race, ethnicity, or civilization can claim the Shaman as their own. As you'll read below, Shamans are revered as extremely powerful individuals, which makes it no wonder that every culture and civilization desires to claim Shamanic tradition as its own.
Some cross-cultural commonalities of Shamanic Tradition are as follows: ~ Shamans are born, not made. Elder Shamans may recognize Shamanic gifts in a younger community member and help him/her refine natural gifts, but this is considered mentoring, not teaching. ~ A Shaman possesses unique spiritual and energetic gifts which allow him/her to access the Spirit Realm at will. Contrary to popular belief, Shamans do not need to ingest psychoactive chemicals to self-induce states of altered consciousness. Sobriety is advocated as the most powerful state of Awareness that one can enter and maintain to achieve the most effective Healing work. ~ A Shaman's natural gift of Spiritual Sight is far more advanced than the average person. ~ Shamans have a unique method of Self-Presentation and often fashion garments and spiritual divination tools for themselves as designation of their special office in their respective community. ~ Shamanism is not to be confused with Witchcraft. A Shaman acts as a bridge and negotiator between Heaven and Earth, with the distinct ability to travel back and forth between the two realms as a Communicator and Peacekeeper. A Shaman can recognize instantly when a person or community is affected by adverse spiritual energies which cannot be seen by those whose Spiritual Eyes are not fully opened. A Shaman is a Doctor of the Mind and Energy Field, an Advocate for the Souls of his/her community members, an effective Problem-Solver, and a Healer of the highest rank and ability. When a medical doctor cannot fix a person's adverse medical condition, a Shaman may be called in to advocate for a person's Spiritual Healing in existential dimensions which medical doctors cannot access. Some common misconceptions about Shamans are : they are Hermits, Loners, Outcasts, and/or Mentally Ill. Shamans are not Hermits or Loners. They interact vigorously and enthusiastically with community members on a daily basis, often working regular jobs just like everyone else. To a Shaman, there is no demarcation line between Home and Work, for all of life is a continuum of consciousness in which Spiritual Energy is present everywhere, in every situation and setting, around and within every person and context. Healing work may be done as Spiritual Practice outside of the Earthly Profession, just as many Spiritual and Religious Practices are. Some Shamanic practices require moments of privacy or solitude, but once complete, the Shaman returns to normal interactions with the outside world. All is connected: a Shaman is a People-Person! Shamans are not Outcasts in their respective communities, rather their Spiritual Gifts are recognized and revered as necessary and effective to the overall Health, Happiness, Well-Being, and Prosperity of the community. They are well-known and welcome wherever they go, their reputation for effective Soul-Healing work precedes them. A Shaman does not have to advertise his or her Healing Services; those who need Spiritual Healing are drawn naturally to the Shaman's unique energy field, often traveling hundreds of miles to appear at a Shaman's home unannounced. Those drawn to the Shaman may not even know why or what draws them, but upon arrival the Shaman is able to discern instantly what type of healing is needed, and acts accordingly in the best interest of the person and his or her respective community. Mental Illness is not a prerequisite for holding Shamanic office, rather Shamans must be of sound mind in order to be effective Soul-Healers, Astral-Travelers, Oracle and Omen Readers, and Spiritual Advocates. On the contrary, a Shaman is able to see the underlying energetic causes of Mental Illness which others cannot see. A true Shaman is able to enter altered states of consciousness at will and return to normal, waking consciousness at will, a characteristic which those diagnosed with Mental Illness tend to lack. Mentally Ill persons often require special medical care and controlled domestic and professional settings, while Shamans do not. Mentally Ill persons often do not understand why they do what they do, the unique configuration of their energy field and mental state, and require special consideration from others because they often cannot control their behavior or respond appropriately in social and domestic settings. Mentally Ill persons are not able to advocate for others or control states of trance and lucidity as Shamans can. Shamans know exactly who they are, why they are incarnated, and are in complete control of physical, mental, and spiritual faculties at all times. Shamans are revered for being extremely energetically powerful, having overcome trials of physical, spiritual, mental, and moral stamina to prove validity of their abilities and earn elevated position in the community. Just as every Shaman has faced Death and lived to tell about it, so they are able to bring a person on the brink of death back to life, if the impending cause of Death is spiritual or energetic in nature. Finally, a Shaman never designates one's self a Shaman (MHCI advises that we be wary of anyone who claims to hold the office of Shaman, for they are most likely "Plastic Shamans" who do not have authentic Spiritual Sight or healing gifts). It is those he/she has helped or healed who testify to a Shaman's abilities, and spread the word to others who will also, eventually, seek out the Shaman's assistance. There is no One method of Shamanic Healing, no rituals that others can repeat or learn. A Shaman heals everyone differently, understanding that each individual requires different healing methods. So, a Shaman's power comes from within along a powerful connection between Higher Self and Higher Dimensions. A Shaman possesses a unique ability to Heal on Instinct, without Judgment, for the betterment not of only one soul, but of humanity at large, Past, Present, and Future. ~ Silver/Sky Blue: Calling on Heaven ~
How will you manifest Heaven on Earth in 2016? Will you write a book, open a healing center, write thoughtful letters to friends, act as an Advocate for others? In various accounts of Shamanic lore, the Shaman is said to have the ability to transverse the Sky as well as the Oceans and all bodies of Water as an intermediary or Spirit-Messenger. Turquoise - Silver - Sky Blue illustrates in Color this magnificent bridge between Earth (Turquoise) and Heaven (Sky Blue), by way of a Spiritual Bridge or Channel (Silver). In the MHCI Color Oracle Card Deck, the Silver Color Card also represents Miracles and Divine Intervention, Angelic Channeling, and the restoration of Karmic Balance through Grace and Forgiveness. Turquoise represents Balance at the mid-point of the Color Spectrum and Chakra System, and the Shaman's ability to hold adverse energies In Balance through Intention and Purposeful Existence. Sky Blue represents the Air element of Sky and Speech, the Dome above our heads which gives access to Higher Realms, the inspiration for Higher-Vibration thought forms and ideas translated into speech which manifest elements of Heaven on Earth.
In 2016, many Lightworkers will find themselves busy Astral-traveling between Heavenly and Earthly realms, advocating for Earthly Creatures in need of physical and spiritual healing. Some may only advocate for themselves, as their Spiritual Gifts are not yet open enough to Advocate for others. We can expect to receive a high volume of Spirit Messages through dreams, daydreams, and waking visions, while abstinence from alcohol, prescription drugs, and other trance-inducing chemicals is recommended to keep Divination and Communication Channels as clear as possible. The way of the Shaman (Turquoise), is to immediately recognize a need for individual or communal Soul-Healing, send up a call to Heaven for Soul-Healing (Sky Blue), then act as a Human Channel for Divine Healing energies (Silver) on behalf of the affected person(s). What distinguishes a Shaman from ordinary Earthlings? Their ability to see objectively all sides of every situation, to see both victim and victimizer as opposite sides of the same coin, to know instinctively how to solve, fix, or re-balance every situation and person brought before them, and a compete surrender to the Will and Force of the Great Spirit which permeates all situations on Earth. A Shaman is in Constant Contact with Heaven, advocating for individuals who cannot do so for themselves, sending up requests for Divine Intervention whenever he or she is made aware of an aberration or adversity among the human population. Shamans do not criticize or avoid, instead they work tirelessly to Shift and Re-Balance that which threatens personal and communal peace. To a Shaman, there are no religious, racial, or ethnic boundaries which dictate who should or should not benefit from Soul-Healing. A Shaman knows that when one soul suffers, we all suffer. When one prospers, we all prosper. So, the Shaman mends the fabric of Cosmic Consciousness as a Tailor mends rips and tears in ever-unfolding tapestry of Human evolution. ~ In Conclusion: Meditations for 2016 ~
